Huge interest in Asia Pacific at Monaco Yacht Show
Superyachts experts from Asia Pacific Superyachts (APS) reported outstanding and far reaching interest in Asia Pacific regions in Monaco. Following many meetings and discussion, APS co-founders Gordon Fernandes and Captain Charlie Dwyer said interest at the Monaco event was the highest yet among superyacht captains, owners, charterers and industry professionals.
“Once again we have found the Monaco Yacht Show to be a huge success, with even more interest in Asia Pacific cruising destinations and their appeal. We met with many superyacht captains and owners that have a keen interest in visiting Asia, and also interested in around the world tours,” stated Fernandes.
The Asia Pacific area is growing in popularity as the destination for superyachts and those seeking luxury and new remote land and sea exploration. “Asia Pacific regions are enhancing worldwide yachting visits with revised charter license laws along with changes that will make it so much easier and less costly for more superyachts to visit these country islands, now more accessible than ever in the past, with new world-class marinas opening and expanding and improved infrastructure”, enthused Asia Pacific Superyachts Maldives director, Mohamed Hameed.
Attracting keen interest at the APS Stand were the exotic regions of Maldives, Seychelles, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Bali and Raja Ampat in Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Malaysia. “We’re closely monitoring news of favourable government and charter changes to Asia Pacific, the most thrilling and least visited spots on the planet. There’s an increasing number of visiting superyachts as regional cruising continues to gain in popularity”, enthused Captain Charlie.
Other factors are contributing to the growing popularity of Southeast Asia, and the experts at APS brought insight and local knowledge into these discussions in Monaco. Within Asia Pacific’s expansive 135,000-kilometre coastline, APS says this region has all the hallmarks of a maritime paradise. www.asia-pacific-superyachts.com
