The Hong Kong International Boat Show will return this month for its first post-Covid edition, with a four-day programme at Club Marina Cove taking place between November 30 and December 3, 2023.

Organisers say the event, launched in 1982, has returned in response to the popular demand from boat dealers and boating enthusiasts.

The Singapore Yachting Festival (“SYF”) is set to return for the 25 to 28 April 2024 alongside the Southeast Asia Yachting Conference (“SEAYC”) 23 to 24 April 2024 both being held at ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove.

Due to unforeseen circumstances it was decided by the board of the TYBA to postpone the 2023 edition of the Thailand Charter Week until 2024.

This was a difficult decision but was made with the unanimous votes of the TYBA Board Members present at the Board Meeting held on the 1st September 2023.

Ocean Marina Jomtien sent a team of sailboat athletes to participate in the ACDC Sailing Championship 2023, which was held at the Air and Coastal Defense Command from 22 to 24 July 2023. The championship consists of two groups: the Gold Free Group, comprising 66 athletes, and the Green Free Group, with 60 athletes.

On Saturday the 22nd of July the Thailand yachting industry lost one of its true pioneers, Andy Dowden. Described by everyone who met him as an absolute gentleman Andy’s story in Phuket goes back almost 39 years.

Ocean Marina Jomtien will be organising their quarterly island beach clean-up on July 30 at Koh Phai, the aim is to the rally the boating community and industry leaders to bring awareness to the ever-visible rubbish problem around the Gulf of Thailand.
