This strategic leadership appointment comes as Boat Lagoon Yachting continues to expand across Asia, following a standout presence at the Singapore Yachting Festival 2025, where it earned three Yacht Style Awards:

Richard Allen brings over 25 years of international experience in yacht sales, charter, brokerage, and business development, with a well-established reputation for driving commercial growth and organisational transformation. He has spent the last 12 years in Asia , most recently as Chief Operating Officer of Simpson Marine, Hong Kong, where he led the company through its successful acquisition by Sanlorenzo and oversaw the restructuring and realignment of the business.

Prior to that, Richard spent a decade with Ancasta International in the United Kingdom, where he developed deep expertise in yacht brokerage and client service. His earlier experience with Sunsail, one of the world's largest yacht charter companies, also laid the foundation for his broad knowledge of the charter and leisure yacht markets. 

Having worked with some of the leading shipyards including Sanlorenzo, Blue Game, Beneteau, Lagoon, Fairline, Axopar, Monte Carlo Yachts and Aquila, over the years Richard has a deep knowledge of  both the sailing and motor yachts markets in Asia and managing multi brand dealerships.
